The 12th of March

From now on, the 12th of March 2014 will be marked in my memory as the most amazing car day for Jimmy’s Classic Cars. And that for 2 reasons: the California Special and the Dodge Charger of 1968! They have arrived, finally !!!

The California Special arrived in perfect condition in Belgium. Both the inside and the outside look like pictures from the inside of a catalogue. Even after starting the 5 liter V8 engine, no unpleasant surprises happened. The car roars like a lion that has finally been released from its cage.

Together with the California Special came the Dodge Charger of 1968. Let’s face it, the Dodge Charger is an incredible muscle car and a dream for every car lover to have in there garage. So I bought this rusty looking example as a challenging project, but it turned out to be a lot less work as I expected. Even though his exterior doesn’t look ideal, it’s just the paint that has faded through the years. There were no cuts made and no welding that has been done. It’s a survivor car in top condition

On top of all that, it came with a big block of 6,300 cc V8 power! So this animal isn’t ready to rest in peace at all, it just needs a face lift and it will be ready again take over the world.

As You can read, the possession of these 2 crazy animals got me to regret that I didn’t start a museum instead of a restore/selling business.

2 brothers joining the JCC club…

You never know what to find in a men’s garage, but I believe his wife was quite surprised when she discovered this…

A beautiful 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang Convertible !
I would be stunned if I discover this beauty while clearing up the garage. Not only is it a beautiful car, it was built on the 17th of April 1964 which was a very important milestone for the Mustang area. Since that day was the first day in history that the Mustang was sold, I’d love having a souvenir reminding me of that day.
The car is powered by a V8 engine and automatic transmission, which makes her an ideal cruise car.
He will be joining us at the end of May, together with his big brother (also convertible) from 1969:

He too, is in extremely good condition which is nicely highlighted by the Candy Apple Red coloring and black interior.
The engine is, like his  brothers, a V8 that roars exactly the way it should be !

The end of May never seemed so far away…
